In pictures: Bulldogs break even
BRAYMER – Hardin-Central ushered in 2025 with a double-digit win in varsity basketball.
And a double-digit loss. The Bulldogs cruised past the Braymer/Breckenridge co-op 49-25 in varsity girls action to open a Jan. 3 girlsboys Carroll-Livingston Activities Association (CLAA) road doubleheader. Leading 6-4 after one quarter, they outscored Braymer/Breckenridge 15-10 the second quarter. They then built on their 21-14 halftime lead with a 12-6 third quarter and put it away with a 16-5 fourth quarter.
Hardin-Central, however, fell to the Braymer boys 7632. The Bobcats raced to a 42-14 halftime lead and then outscored Hardin-Central 34-18 the second half.
The Hardin-Central girls improved to 9-3 overall and 5-0 in the CLAA. They had won four of their last five entering this week’s games. That stretch included a split of two games at Holiday Hoops, a December shootout hosted by North Central Missouri College in Trenton. On Dec. 30, the girls tumbled to Northwest of Hughesville 45-23…
