LETTER TO THE EDITOR
Dear Editor, First, I appreciate having a local paper and admire the work and energy the folks at the Richmond Daily News put into their weekly product. Thank you for your work. I don’t imagine it is an easy task, nor does it make everyone absolutely happy. I wonder how often their readership says thank you.
Several weeks have passed since the Richmond News published Nov. 29, with a lead article titled “Illegal immigrants nabbed,” which left me disgusted, disappointed and discouraged. I felt the paper had done a disservice to the reader.
“Why?” I asked myself because it wasn’t immediately clear to me. The article’s content was well presented, reporting about an essential and relevant local card skimming ring. The article revealed the work that goes unnoticed as we move safely through the county, living our lives. I did not come away after reading the article noticing any bias in the information.
