Bluebird Project donates $3,000 to Backpack Program
The Richmond R-XVI School District’s backpack program received a $3,000 donation from the Missouri Farm and Home Mutual Insurance Company of Richmond’s Bluebird Project.
“We absolutely hate to see such a need for our children, but we are so thankful that we have the ability to help,” said Missouri Farm and Home CEO Jimmy Carter. “As a company, and as individuals, it pains us to see such a need in our local community but we hope our donations help with the needs and comfort of the children in need. We hope that it helps to spur others to help, as well.”
According to Carter, the Bluebird Project was established in 2020 as an effort to help Missouri children. After seeing numbers from FeedingAmerica. org in 2019, the business wanted to make a difference and has donated $33,000 since it began.
