Sixth annual Thanksgiving food drive
This year’s Thanksgiving Food Drive was a remarkable success and highlighted the power of collective kindness.
Organized by Richmond News, area residents filled the red truck boxes with nonperishable food donations to support families in need and to ensure they could prepare a Thanksgiving meal. The boxes were placed at Flat Branch Bank, Ideal Industries, Missouri Farm and Home, Northstar Wellness, Oswald Crow, Ray County Hospital and Healthcare, Ray County Library, Bob’s Collision and Richmond News.
For many who contributed, the food drive offered a profound sense of fulfillment. Donors frequently expressed that giving made them feel more connected to their neighbors and the holiday’s true meaning. By coming together, the community addressed an immediate need while reinforcing the values of empathy and connection.
