David Noltensmeyer
David Ray Noltensmeyer, 65, of Richmond passed away Monday, Oct. 28, 2024, at his home.
David was born Jan. 7, 1959, in Lexington, the son of Marcus Martin and Mary Helen (Lampman) Noltensmeyer.
He was united in marriage to Dianna L. Deam of Richmond on Aug. 18, 1990. She survives of the home.
Additional survivors include his four sisters, Ruthie Rose of Galena, Peggy Wardlow of Independence, June Patenaude of Salem, Ind., and Debra Doss of Richmond; and two sisters-in-law, Melissa (Marty) O’Donnell of Richmond and Lisa (Mike) Currier of Maui, Hawaii. A niece, Autumn Lane of Nashville, Tenn.; nephew, Johnathan Currier of Daytona Beach, Fla.; and several other nieces, nephews, and extended family members and friends also survive.
He was preceded in death by his parents and son, David Martin Noltensmeyer. David grew up in Corder and graduated with the class of 1977 from Higginsville High School.
He was known for his deep compassion and commitment to helping others, dedicating almost 35 years of his career as a developmental assistant for disabled individuals at the Higginsville Rehabilitation Center before retiring in 2014.
David was a spirited and joyful soul, recognized by all for his ever-present smile, playful teasing and a knack for bringing laughter as a true jokester.
An avid outdoorsman, David found joy in hunting, fishing and simply spending time in nature. He held a special love for animals, particularly for his beloved dog, Remington; and his cat, Dusty.
Above all, David was a loving, devoted husband and father, always putting family first. He shared a cherished bond with his nieces and nephews, especially with his niece Autumn, whom he adored.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 5, at Thurman Funeral Home in Richmond. Visitation will be held 6-8 p.m. Monday, Nov. 4, at the funeral home. Interment will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Braymer.
