Aggies look to be ready for district foe
Norborne Hardin-Central (NHC) varsity 8-man football coach Andrew Watson wants his Aggies to be prepared to play when their postseason begins.
Seeded second in the District 4 Tournament, the Aggies (8-1) have a first-round bye this week. They’ll play the winner between Wellington-Napoleon (5-4) and the Southwest of Livingston County/Hale/Tina-Avalon co-op (0-9) at 7 p.m. Nov. 8 in the semifinals of the single-elimination tournament.
“We (have) just got to be more dialed in and focused from the start,” Watson said Monday after practice on NHC’s home field at Hardin-Central.
NHC’s regular-season meeting with Wellington-Napoleon has motivated the Aggies in part to focus on readiness, according to Watson. The Aggies edged the Tigers 52-48 in Week 2. The road win “was a dogfight for us,” he said.
