Mayor’s Prayer Breakfast held
The Ministerial Alliance of Richmond recently convened to organize the annual Mayor’s Prayer Breakfast at the historic First Baptist Church.
The event began with a warm welcome from Mayor Mike Wright, who expressed gratitude for all attendees and highlighted the importance of community and faith.
Pastor Willie Issacson introduced keynote speaker Michael Whitehead, whose inspiring message aimed to uplift and encourage the gathered audience.
A trial attorney based in Kansas City with over 35 years of experience, Whithead has co-counseled important Supreme Court cases and served as general counsel for religious institutions and non-profits, including the Southern Baptist Convention. From 1975-78, Whitehead served as a Captain in the U.S. Army JAG Corps. After returning to Kansas City, he formed a partnership with James M. Smart Jr.
