RHS reintroduces academic letter awards
Richmond School Board members delved into a detailed discussion about Richmond High School during a recent meeting.
Talks focused on several key topics, including the reintroduction of awarding academic letters, proposed changes to the physical education curriculum, updates on new curriculum implementations, the status of current classes and upcoming events.
During the COVID-19 pandemic, the traditional practice of awarding academic letters was temporarily put on hold. However, due to the dedicated efforts of office administrators Breann Battagler, Julie Lafferty and Jessia Johnson, students are now able to earn the academic Richmond High “R,” according to Richmond High School Principal Brandon Quick. To qualify for this recognition, students must meet specific criteria, including maintaining a 3.5 grade point average, achieving a minimum of 95% attendance, and not receiving any grade below a C.
