Local representatives receive award
The Missouri Chamber of Commerce and Industry has recognized State Representatives
of Carroll, Livingston and Linn counties and Terry Thompson of Ray and Lafayette counties as 2024 Business Champions.
This award is presented to state lawmakers who supported policies during the 2024 legislative session that boosted the economy and made Missouri a more competitive place to do business. The Business Champions list was developed after analyzing key votes on important business issues.
State legislators were required to have a minimum 70% track record of supporting the Missouri Chamber on key issues to be considered for inclusion. This year, 24 Missouri Senate and 103 Missouri House of Representatives members fulfilled these criteria.
