ES man granted bond, domestic assault
An Excelsior Springs man has been granted bond after being arrested for one felony charge.
George M. Deniz Jr.,
33, has been charged with third-degree domestic assault. He recently appeared before Eighth Judicial Circuit Court Judge Lori J. Baskins where his bond was set at $10,000 cash or surety. His bond conditions will also include having a home plan with his mother in Lawson.
As of press time, Deniz is still in the custody of Ray County Jail.
Deniz will appear for a preliminary hearing at 10 a.m. on October 8.
On March 21, Ray County Sheriff’s Office deputies Samantha Ayers and Brian Lackey were dispatched to a residence on Elm Street in Excelsior Estates in regard to a 911 hang-up call.
“Per dispatch, there was a party yelling for help on the phone and the phone disconnected,” the probable cause statement written by Ayers states.
“Dispatch also advised that the neighbor saw a young boy in the yard.”
