Missouri State Representative Terry Thompson (District 53) introduced his new legislative assistant, Jennifer Ladek, and discussed his trade trip to London with Governor Mike Parsons at a recent Chamber after-hours gathering. “I have been in the Missouri State Capitol now for a couple of years,” said Ladek. “I went to the University of Central Missouri, just like representative Thompson but slightly different years. I went on to do a legislative internship at the Capitol, and I loved it; I think it gets in your blood just being in that building and the adrenaline it gives you that I could not find anywhere else.” Ladek said she left the capitol for a time to do other things, such as running a company, working for different people, and gaining some experience. Then, in 2002, she decided it was time to go back. “In February, we were able to start working together. It’s been amazing to work with him.
