Four candidates compete for two seats on Richmond Township committee
Richmond Township has four Republican candidates vying for two seats Lin Templeton, Rich Templeton, Elizabeth Wenig and Gary Wenig. The Richmond News asked the candidates questions. Lin Templeton and Rich Templeton did not respond to our questions.
BACKGROUND Elizabeth: 78, of Rayville, has education as a clinical herbalist and a real estate broker. She has lived in rural Rayville for 24 years and is currently a writer.
Gary: of rural Rayville, is an Army intel analyst, retired construction engineer and farmer.
CANDIDATE QUESTIONS What qualifications do you bring to the table that makes you suitable to be a township committeeman?
Elizabeth: I co-developed and operated an organic farm that produced vegetables, herbs, eggs and goat milk. I taught homesteading classes that included herbology, animal husbandry and copious other endeavors that yield self-sufficiency, perseverance and “stick-to-it-ness.” I have authored two books with a third scheduled for publication later this year…
