Trial date revised for ES woman

A trial date has been changed for an Excelsior Springs woman who is charged with nine felonies and one misdemeanor. Desiree A. Alexander, 36, is facing three counts of first-degree rape or attempted rape, two counts of abuse or neglect of a child, first-degree sodomy or attempted sodomy, incest, first-degree sexual abuse, first-degree attempted sexual abuse and first-degree sexual misconduct. She recently appeared before Eighth Judicial Circuit Court Judge Kevin L. Walden for a pre-trial conference, as the original trial date was set for July 15. At that time, the trial was canceled and rescheduled to start at 9 a.m. on January 13, 2025.
