A robust crowd showed up in support of Summer Bash, hosted by Friends of Richmond Future Farmers of America (FORFFA). The bash was held recently in the Richmond High School parking lot, where over 30 vendors, four food trucks and children’s play area, offering plenty for area residents to enjoy. “We appreciate the community support for our FAA members,” said Stacy Cox. FORFFA’s mission is to support Richmond FFA and encourage members to take pride in their work and have a passion. Funds raised at Summer Bash will help fund scholarships, support members that attend FFA national convention and other activities that promote participation in local FFA. FORFFA’s upcoming events include manning a booth at the Fourth of July celebration serving root beer floats, hot dogs and snacks along with activities for the kids. In the fall, the group will again sponsor a football tailgate at the high school. “It’s one of the most popular events we host,” said Cox.
