Former Rayville resident faces many felony charges
A former Rayville woman is facing a multitude of charges in various cases.
Melissa A. Holloway, 31, was arrested last week after a warrant was issued by Eighth Judicial Circuit Court Judge Lori J. Baskins for three felony charges of first-degree endangering the welfare of a child involving drugs.
Shortly after her arrest, Holloway appeared in court for a bond hearing via video, where she entered a plea of not guilty and requested to be released on her own recognizance (ROR). Judge Baskins determined a ROR bond would not secure Holloway’s appearance in court or the safety of the community, victims and witnesses. Her bond for this case is set at $5,000 cash or corporate surety with 10% allowed. Holloway posted a bond through a bondsman but was then transferred to the custody of Clay County Detention Center due to other charges against her. She will appear next for this case at 9:30 a.m. on July 30.
