KC man with 11 felony charges released

After being sought by police for two years, a Kansas City man facing 11 felony charges has been released on his own recognizance. Jaylen D. Webb, 20, is charged with first-degree robbery; first-degree assault or attempt, serious physical injury or special victim; three counts of armed criminal action; unlawful use of weapon; first-degree kidnapping, facilitating a felony, inflicting injury, terrorizing; two counts of first-degree assault or attempt; conspiracy to commit class A, B or C felony and third-degree assault. Special Public Defender Rachel L. Townsend requested Webb be taken out of ‘no bond allowed’ status and be released on his own recognizance. Eighth Judicial Circuit Court Judge Baskins approved the release and placed Webb under house arrest with conditions, including that he not possess a firearm or other deadly weapon, not tamper with any witness or victim and have no contact with the codefendant.
