RMS students of the month treated to breakfast
To raise morale and middle schoolers’ self-esteem, Richmond Middle School (RMS) hosted its first annual parent breakfast for September’s students of the month. Sixth-graders Tristan McGaugh and Abigail Garland, seventh- graders Rex Smith and Lexi McCloud, and eighth-graders Lyla Best and AJ Harrell were the honored students of the month.
“The students were nominated by the grade level teachers based on citizenship, behavior, effort, and doing what’s right,” said RMS Principal Staci Maddux.
Breakfast was provided by the principal, Assistant Principal Mallory Cole, and Administrative Assistant Janet Daugherty.
“We look for students that are role models for the other students in many different areas,” said Maddux. “This was our first annual parent breakfast, as this is a new program. We wanted to honor our students that work hard to do what’s right and that show leadership skills.”
