Two major Ray County bridge projects originally slated for 2027 have been accelerated for 2026. The pavement of MO 10 E bridge will be resurfaced and the guardrail will be replaced from Rte. C to Merrifield Lane, at a total cost of $7114, according to Statewide Transportation Improvement Program (STIP). The Missouri Department of Transportation (MoDOT) sent out their STIP, detailing the following: • Scoping and design projects • 2024-2028 highway and bridge construction schedule • SFY 2024 legislatively designated and funded initiatives • Estimated financial summary for the 20242028 schedule • Federal and multimodal programs • SFY 2024 multimodal legislatively designated and funded initiatives • Certification and Federal-Aid Project oversight • MoDOT Operations and Maintenance Plan Missouri STIP information A significant component of the state system is the 33,825 miles of roads and 10,424 bridges, both of which rank among the largest for any state in the nation.
