RHS student receives National FFA Scholarship

The National Future Farmers of America (FFA) Organization recently awarded a $1,500 Growing Ag Leaders Scholarship to Richmond High School (RHS) FFA senior Zalie Gregory. Gregory plans to use the funds to pursue a degree in Agriculture Business at Northwest Missouri State University (NWMSU). To fund the $1,500 scholarship, donations were pooled from Grow Ag Leaders, sponsored by Bayer Fund and in partnership with National FFA. To apply for this scholarship, Gregory was endorsed by two local farmers. Grow Ag Leaders encourages rural youth to become the next generation of ag leaders by awarding scholarships to support their pursuit of higher education in agrelated fields of study. “I applied for this scholarship as I’m going into ag business at NWMSU. This scholarship means a lot to me since agriculture has always been a huge part of my life – growing up outdoors, always raising and being around animals,” said Gregory. “This scholarship is another opportunity for me to educate others…
