H-C FFA hosts community breakfast
Future Farmers of America (FFA) members of Hardin-Central (H-C) High School woke up before the sun so they had plenty of prep time for the annual Ag Day Breakfast, a day set aside to offer free breakfast to the residents of the community. The culinary options were wide, with students preparing sausage, bacon, pancakes, fruit cups and drinks.
The recent event was actually scheduled during FFA Week in February, but was rescheduled due to inclement weather.
H-C FFA Advisor Joe Robinson welcomed guests while overseeing the FFA “chefs” preparing the breakfast foods.
Current FFA President Gracie Dial said the students do everything for the breakfast themselves.
“We sat in class, made a list of tasks people will do and they’re doing it,” she said as she looked over to her peers serving breakfast and taking control of the griddles.
