With attention on Southview Park – the pool concession building is in need of repairs and plumbing work, said City council member Deanna Guy added at last week’s meeting. The restrooms and maintenance room need repairs and the building needs a main water service line replaced. The council accepted the bid of $21,000 – slightly under the FY23 $25,000 budget, from Gash Plumbing. Following the maintenance work, the park board proposed the establishment of a “MyRec Credit Card Processor” and is hoping to purchase two card readers. The “MyRec” software – software helps departments operate more efficiently with tools like online registration, leading to savings in service delivery, operations and business planning, according to MyRec.com. The software is being downloaded in installments and is ready to proceed with the credit card section, said Guy.
