Jaclyn was born on April 13, 1977, in North Kansas City to Steven DeLuca and Dianna Farmer. She graduated from North Kansas City High School.

Jaclyn was employed in Richmond with Missouri Farm & Home Mutual Insurance Co., where she worked in marketing and underwriting. Prior to that, she worked for H&R Block and for many years in the restaurant industry.

Jaclyn had a passion for serving others. At the time of her death, she was a board member and treasurer of the Richmond Chamber of Commerce, and a board member of the Lexington Booster Club. She spent many hours volunteering with various needs throughout the Lexington community and helping people in general.

Jaclyn had an infectious smile and laughter about her. The moment she walked into a room, it would light up.

Jaclyn’s most heroic gift was the gift of life. She was an organ donor, and thanks to her heroic act, others have a new chance at life.

She loved attending her children’s sporting events. She also enjoyed gardening, flowers, and spending time with her family and friends.

Survivors include her fiancé, Drew Emerson of the home; four children, Dustin Christian, Jett Christian, Braxton Emerson and Madaux Emerson, all of the home; sister, Carmen Bryan of Lexington; father and mother-in-law, David and Malia Emerson of Lexington; close family friends, Glen and Debbie Bagley, and Danny Hoeppner, all of Lexington; and many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

In addition to her parents, Jaclyn was preceded in death by her loving grandparents, Finace Dale and Betty Jean Farmer.
