RHS Athletic HOF inductees announced

This year’s Richmond High School Athletic Hall of Fame class is set. Dana) Corwin, Steve Hitchcock, Mark Kilgore, Quinton Maxwell and Chantel ( Rimmer) Thaxton are the individual inductees. The 2005 wrestling team also will be inducted. In addition, Jeff “Puff” Adams will receive the Ethel Kirkpatrick Award during the induction ceremony, slated for June 3 at the high school. Carroll, a 2012 graduate, was a standout football, basketball and baseball player. After becoming the school’s firstever first-team all-stater in baseball, he played the sport at Jefferson College and then at Abilene (Texas) Christian University. Corwin was the No. 1 girls singles tennis player for three seasons at Richmond, where she graduated in 1984 as class valedictorian, and played women’s tennis at Baker University in Baldwin, Kan.
