Sheriff reports progress to 911 Board

Prosecuting Attorney Camille Johnston and Ray County Sheriff Scott Childers gathered at the call of the Ray County 911 Board in order to discuss improvements. The Ray County 911 Board held a meeting last week and asked Prosecuting Attorney Johnston and Childers to discuss some improvements made since their group meeting with the county commissioners. Several weeks ago, personnel from the three involved agencies — prosecuting attorney, sheriff and 911 offices — agreed to a 90-day testing period to implement new ways to improve communication, as well as update warrants and information. In addition, it was agreed a press release was to be sent regarding the changes and results of the 90-day term.
