Wood Heights to elect aldermen
With only two open seats on the Wood Heights Board of Aldermen, voters will determine who will fill those vacant seats at the April 4 election. The three candidates vying for a spot on the board are Incumbent Kathy Hart, 55, David Stephens, 38, and Bernard Allen Jr.
“The qualifications for anyone running for a council is they have to live within their district, must have all their taxes paid up and be a registered voter,” said Ray County Clerk Heather (Graff) Maulsby.
In order to assist area residents to be informed of candidate choices, The Richmond News requested each candidate to complete a questionnaire that included background information and addressed several issues.
Allen declined responding to the questionnaire.
