Spring fish pond tune-up

Is your fishpond not producing the way you’d want? Are you starting a new pond from scratch? Free expert advice is being offered by Clinton County University of Missouri Extension Council and the Missouri Department of Conservation in an upcoming program focusing on fishponds. Conservation Department Fisheries Management Biologist Tory Mason will discuss overall pond management strategies, pond construction and design, stocking, aquatic vegetation and causes of fish kills. Midwest Lake Management’s Senior fisheries and aquatic biologist Jeff Slipke, a regional fishpond authority, will discuss the products and services his company provides. The services include fish stocking, electrofishing surveys, management plans, consulting, aquatic weed control, aeration systems, fountains, habitat enhancement, fish feeders and more.
