CAP brings out inner child

The Community at Play (CAP) program continues to bring out the inner child in Ray County residents. Dressed to the nines, with party lights everywhere and DJ Timmy Leach playing music, CAP hosted two events last weekend. The first event was a dance held at the Eagleton Senior Center, followed by bowling at Richmond Bowl. The dance party was a success, according to CAP Implementer Cassie Hobeck and Special Needs Services (SNS) Director Susan Breen. “CAP has had many people request that we have another dance, we listened, and it was a success,” they said. The ratio of attendees was about 40 percent people from the community and 60 percent Department of Mental Health (DMP) individuals. This is ideal, since the goal for CAP events is inclusion and opportunities for people to connect with one another while having fun, said the SNS director.
