Commissioners pledge support of hospital rebranding
Ray County Memorial Hospital CEO Jeff Bloemker visited Ray County Commissioners Billy Gaines, Dave Powell and Gary Wilhite recently regarding the rebranding of the wellknown Richmond hospital.
Bloemker, replaced past CEO Earl Sheehy last year. The hospital’s new name is being released this upcoming week. Commissioners have agreed to support the hospital’s future efforts regarding the rebranding.
“One thing I am looking at pretty closely is, how do we work together? And frankly, that is part of the effort of a rebrand to be more than just a hospital,” said Bloemker. “We’re still the five-star quality care that is always expected of the hospital, but oh, by the way, this is everything else we offer too.”
Rebranding of the hospital will come in the form of a new name, logo and details of what the hospital offers, such as emergency care, inpatient care, primary care and other open care.
“We want to share the different things we are doing. From the emergency room provider, the hospitalists, the recruiters, the efforts around primary care, along with everything we offer,” said the CEO.
Bloemker said he believes the hospital, city, county and schools should be meeting on a frequent basis to improve the health and well-being of the community.
“We will continue to be strong and independent, but we have to turn the corner and highlight all the things we are doing,” said Bloemker.
