Santa Claus visits local food store

The jolly old man himself, Santa Claus, visited Ray County once again. Harps Food Store in Richmond hosted an event with Coca-Cola and invited area children and parents to engage in festivities. Also joining in the fun was the Grinch (played by Harps cashier Aubree Watts), along with Mr. Claus and the Coca-Cola Polar Bear. Overseeing a raffle, Coca-Cola representatives Mike McCarty and Eric Caldwell, said they were happy to be part of the excitement as they offered different sodas for customers to taste. “We’re glad to be here,” said Caldwell. Remington Hardy and Brenden Moore were just two of many youths who visited Santa Claus. They both confirmed they must be on the nice list and asked for a bicycle and chapter books this Christmas. Customer Lindsey Letzig noticed the festivities while shopping and commented her son was sick and not able to come to the store to join in the fun. “I hope this is a tradition they continue and one we can look forward to each year,” she said, noting…
