BACK-TO-BACK-TO-BACK Kennedy Wrisinger achieved a hat trick Monday. With her performance that day in the Class 2 District 4 Tournament at Moila Golf Course in St. Joseph, the Richmond senior punched her ticket for the Class 2 state tournament, slated for Oct. 17 and 18 at Silo Ridge Golf & Country Club in Bolivar – her third straight year to qualify for a state girls golf tournament. Wrisinger qualified for state in Class 1 the other two seasons, placing 46th in 2021 and in a three-way tie for 38th in 2020. Wrisinger qualified by placing 16th, shooting a 105 (+31) for her 18-hole, par-74 round. Missouri State High School Activities Association (MSHSAA) regulations state the top 12 individual finishers not on a district’s two qualifying teams advanced.
