FFA pre-football tailgate brings in the crowds
Those who tailgate generally love the activity, and Richmond High School Future Farmers of America (FFA) members are no exception.
The chapter hosted a grill and tailgate event from 5 to 6:30 p.m. Oct. 7 at Richmond High School.
Laura Allen, Richmond FFA advisor, said she was excited and helped the members and the Friends of Richmond FFA (FORFFA) get ready for the evening.
The FFA members and parents decorated the shop and set up a ailgate with inside and outside seating.
“We invited all district staff and their families,” Allen said.
FFA supporters from the FORFFA cooked the meat.
FFA members and parents served the meal. The district administration provided financial support so the meal could be served to the families for free.
Community members and RHS staff showed support, ate and chatted with one another.
