Ag-Power grand opening draws huge crowd

Friends, family and farmers across the county celebrated Ag-Power’s grand opening event Aug. 26 at its new location, 38835 Missouri Highway 10 near Richmond. Outlaw Jim and the Whiskey Benders played music for attendees, who also were treated to food, drinks and greetings from the management and employees. Those who greeted them included Aaron Plattner, general manager; and Jack Radke, owner. Both were networking and having a good time, they said. “There are a lot more people than we anticipated, but that was the whole reason (for doing this),” Plattner said. Ag-Power also has built facilities within the past few years in Sedalia and Bethany, according to Plattner. COVID, however, prevented the company from hosting grand openings or open houses for them, he said. “We were kind of thinking that Richmond is in the middle of those as well,” Plattner said.
