RICHMOND – A rainy morning gave way to a sun-and-cloud dappled Sunday afternoon as Richmond seniors marched out from the high school to the football field for graduation while hearing the band play “Pomp and Circumstance,” led by director Jeffrey Clymore. “There is always a path to success,” Principal Brandon Quick told the audience of hundreds gathered in the stands, on the field and on the track, including the seniors. “My final requirement is that you examine all the paths opened up to you and then take the one that’s closest to your heart.” Chosen by seniors, Julee Slater and Jordan Graves tag-teamed the class address. Slater opened by reminding seniors they likely have been inspired by others and have done some inspiring of their own. Graves said the seniors will continue to grow as individuals. “Don’t give up” in the face of obstacles, Slater said. “Believe in yourself and don’t let anyone talk you out of it.” “You’re going to continue to grow,” Graves said.
