RICHMOND – The Beta Tau Chapter of Delta Kappa Gamma chose Richmond High School juniors Sarah Brungardt and Aspen Erskine to attend the June session of Missouri Girls State at Lindenwood University in St. Charles, based on information provided by the organization’s scholarship chairwoman, Brenda Hamm.

Missouri Girls State provides young women who have just finished their junior year of high school the opportunity to come together to study city, county and state government. The event is organized by the American Legion Auxiliary.

Brungardt is the daughter of Susan and Clint Brungardt. Erskine is the daughter of Theresa and Will Erskine.

Each year, Beta Tau, an organization of women educators, provides two scholarships to allow high school girls from Ray County schools to attend the event.
