Rodenberg signs letter with Fort Scott CC
RICHMOND – Lucas Rodenberg is about to make a dream come true.
Rodenberg, a Richmond senior, signed a letter of intent to play baseball at Fort Scott (Kansas) Community College, where he expects to pitch. He is one of four Spartans who signed during an event staged in February in the high school gym, but he is the only one to sign for baseball. Jordan Alexander, Layne Cavanah and Tadan McCoy each signed to play football – Alexander at Northwest Missouri State University, Cavanah at William Jewell College and McCoy at Ottawa University.
“It’s always been kind of a dream of mine to be able to finally play college baseball, and … Fort Scott’s a great program,” Rodenberg said Feb. 8. “I’m very excited to go there.”
