Wanda Lucille Hupp-Rone
Wanda Lucille Hupp-Rone, 89, of Richmond, MO, formerly of Orrick, MO, passed away Saturday morning, Feb. 5, 2022, at the Ray County Memorial Hospital.
Wanda was born on Oct. 9, 1932, in Hardin, MO, to Bill and Alvinia Witte. She and her family moved to and lived in Kansas, where Wanda attended school and graduated from Berryton High School in Berryton, KS. Wanda was first married to Thomas A. Hupp and with her marriage to him she was blessed with three children, William, Nancy, and Janet Hupp. The family lived in Kansas and later moved to Missouri.
Wanda worked at Whitaker Cable. After Thomas passed, she moved to Oregon and married Fowler David Rone. While in Oregon, she worked for in home care and support services for 18 years. Wanda was a charter member of Riverside 4-H Club in Kansas, The Moose Lodge and American Legion Auxiliary. She had also served on the Orrick city council.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Bill and Alvinia Witte; her husbands, Thomas A. Hupp and Fowler David Rone; sisters, Mildred Doud and Sylvia Palenske; son, William (Bill) Hupp; daughter, Nancy Pearon; daughter-in-law, Ruth Hupp; mother-in-law, Pearl (Dent) Coffman; and father-in-law, Glen Hupp.
She is survived by her daughter, Janet Hupp of Richmond, MO; sisters, Shirlely Weideman and Darlene Holiday; sister-in-law, Rosella Hupp; son-in-law, Terry Pearon; step-daughter, Cookie (Elizabeth and Junior); and many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Funeral services for Wanda will be held on Wednesday, Feb. 9, 2022, at 11 a.m. at the Faith Lutheran Church in Richmond, MO. Burial will follow in South Point Cemetery near Orrick.
