Loretta D. Foreman
Loretta D. Foreman, 71, of Lee’s Summit, formerly of Ray County, died Wednesday, December 29, 2021, at Lee’s Summit Medical Center.
Loretta was born on January 3, 1950, in Lexington, the daughter of Decatur and Elizabeth Jane (Appleby) Clark, Jr. She was united in marriage to Charles Richard “Chuck” Foreman of Camden on October 26, 1974; he survives of the home.
Additional survivors include: nephew, Rick (Rhonda) Clark of Warrensburg; niece, Shelly (Darren) Mowry of Raymore; great-niece, Hali (Cole) Ring; and a great-great-nephew, Lincoln.
She was preceded in death by her parents and sister, Diane Shumate.
Loretta was reared and educated in Lexington. After high school, she attended beauty school. Loretta worked in both Lexington and Richmond as a hairdresser. Then in 1976, she went out on her own as a hairdresser and owned and operated Loretta’s Curl-Ette, before retiring in 2009. She enjoyed sewing, embroidery, and embroidered many towels and blankets for her family and friends. Loretta also enjoyed reading and was a member of the Rayville Christian Union Church.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Wednesday, January 5, 2022, at Thurman Funeral Home in Richmond. There will be no formal visitation prior to services.
