Rep. presents resolution to councilman
RICHMOND – Rep. Peggy McGaugh presented a Missouri House resolution to Richmond Councilman Rob Kinnard to recognize his community service.
The resolution came in conjunction with the annual David Whitmer Community Service Award, which Kinnard also received for his community service.
McGaugh presented the resolu tion Oct. 26 during the Richmond City Council meeting. She prefaced her remarks with a short history of David Whitmer and The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Missouri.
“It is time that we not erase the past, but we learn from it,” McGaugh said, and encouraged the council and audience to “embrace all religions.”
The resolution detailed more than 25 years of Kinnard’s community service in Ray County. Kinnard reached out to assist children on a weekly basis for 25 years.
McGaugh and House Speaker Rob Vescovo signed the resolution.
“The Lord wants me to give it my all,” Kinnard said in accepting the resolution. “Resolved, Rob Kinnard is not done yet!”
