Event recognizes accomplishments of 4-H members, leaders

RICHMOND – The 2021 annual Ray County 4-H Recognition Event occurred Oct. 23 at the Ray County Fairground South Pole Barn in Richmond. The Richmond Farm Bureau, the Richmond Rotary Club and the Ray County 4-H Council sponsored the event. Ray County 4-H Council President Alaina Lehman welcomed everyone, and 4-H Ambassadors Morgan Meroney, Malia Fairchild and Joseph Roof led the Pledge of Allegiance. The organization issued Outstanding 4-H Secretary, Outstanding 4-H Treasurer, Outstanding Reporter and Outstanding 4-H Club Scrapbook awards. The winners: Fairchild, Clever Clovers 4-H Club, secretary book, received a trophy, notebook and pen; Roof, Clever Clover 4-H Club, treasurer book, received a trophy, notebook and pen; Kerri Basham, Millville 4-H Club, reporter award, received a trophy, notebook and pen; and Aiden O’Dell, Millville 4-H Club, received a trophy and scrapbook materials.
