RICHMOND – Going in, the varsity football game looked equal, leaning toward Oak Grove. Oak Grove brought 16 seniors, 11 juniors and a winning record in 2020 versus Richmond’s 12 seniors, 13 juniors and an MRVC East crown. Going out, it looked lopsided. In a second-quarter downpour, Richmond’s offense rained hard on Oak Grove, scoring 30 points on the way to pounding the Panthers 52-6. The Spartans appeared to do everything well. “One thing we weren’t doing was losing,” senior wideout Layne Cavanah said moments afterward.
