Martha D. (Byler) Miller, 76 years and 8 days, went to be with her loving Shepherd and Savior, on Friday, August 13, 2021. She bravely, patiently, fought her battle with cancer, being diagnosed 5 months ago.

Through all her grief and sickness, she was a joy to care for, with smiles and “thank you’s” constantly expressed. Mom’s love and concern for other people all through her life, didn’t change through her sickness. She delighted in cooking delicious meals for her family and always went beyond duty to make sure her family was well taken care of. Flowers, gardening, and birds were a special joy to her.

She was born on August 5, 1945 in Dover, DE and united in marriage to William Miller on October 14, 1965. He preceded her in death on September 16, 2020. God blessed them with 4 sons and 4 daughters. Roger (Debra), Evelyn (Lavern Schlabach), Linda (Titus Hostetler), Ken (Sue), Lavern ( Judy), Joe (Darlene), Frieda ( Brian Knepp), and Wanita ( Javan Yoder). Also surviving are 38 grandchildren, 3 great-grandsons, 8 sisters, and 1 brother. Her parents, 1 brother, and 1 brother-in-law preceded her in death.

In Mom’s last weeks one of her burdens was that her entire family would meet her in Heaven.

The family expresses their gratitude for the many prayers, meals, and support during Mom’s illness and passing.

Visitation will be held on Monday, August 16, 2021 from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Bethel Mennonite Church 16724 Highway B, Richmond, MO 64085. Funeral services will be on Tuesday, August 17, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. at the church. Burial to follow in Bethel Cemetery.
