Jeanne Ann Oyler
Jeanne Ann Oyler, 59, of Richmond, died Monday, July 19, 2021, at her home, surrounded by her loving family.
Jeanne was born on May 30, 1962, in Richmond, the daughter of Porter Keith and Emma Lou (Stonner) Hardin. She was united in marriage to Christopher B. Oyler of Hardin on August 15, 1981; he survives of the home. Together they were looking forward to celebrating their 40th Wedding Anniversary.
Additional survivors include: son, Christopher Keith (Allison) Oyler of Milford, IA; two daughters, Michelle (Ryan) Bogeart of Columbia and Katelyn Oyler of Richmond; five grandchildren: Brian Oyler, Julianne Oyler, Miles Oyler, Madilynn O’Dell, and Emma Jeanne Bogeart; and two brothers, Ross (Annette) Hardin of Plano, TX, and David (Peggy) Hardin of Loudon, TN; many nieces, nephews, extended family members and special friends, also survive.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Jeanne was reared and educated in Richmond and graduated from Richmond High School in 1981. After high school, she attended Penn Valley Community College in Kansas City. She then served her apprenticeship as a Registered Medical Lab Technician at the VA Hospital in Kansas City. After her apprenticeship, she worked in both Waverly and Marshall. Jeanne worked for 34 years at the Ray County Memorial Hospital in the lab and finished her career there as supervisor. She was a member of the American Society Clinical Pathology (ASCP-MLT) and the American Medical Technologist (AMT-MT). Jeanne was a wife, daughter, mother, sister, and friend; she loved her family. Jeanne enjoyed the outdoors, camping, and shopping for her grandchildren. She was a humble, kind, strong, and courageous woman. Jeanne will be dearly missed by all who knew her. Her motto was “live and let live.”
