The time has come for the Tour de Ray
Ray County needs its own multistage bicycle race.
The Tour de France helped lead me to that epiphany. In keeping with a trend I started sometime during the 2000s, I am casually watching televised coverage of the annual cycling grand prix, slated to conclude Sunday in Paris. There is something relaxing, even comforting about hearing longtime race reporter Phil Liggett describe the action on NBCSN. Liggett has a fatherly warmth to his voice that makes it bearable to deal with life in a COVID-19 world. It is nice to see the lush greenery of the French mountains and countryside, too.
