Tamara Sue “Tammy” Wyse, 56, of Richmond, died Wednesday, June 23, 2021, at Kansas University Medical Center in Kansas.

Tammy was born on July 7, 1964, in Kansas City, the daughter of Delmer and Goldie Jean (Frieben) Ohrenberg.  She was united in marriage to Mark Allen Wyse of Orrick on July 1, 1982; he survives of the home.

Additional survivors include: three daughters: Amber (Nathan) Alderson, Kimberly (Paul) Staley, both of Richmond, and Sara (Tad) Brewer of Kansas City; nine grandchildren: Raegan Alderson, Maddox Alderson, Bryson Alderson, Paxson Alderson, Kane Staley, Kalija Staley, Keaton Staley, Harper Brewer, and Isaiah Brewer; five brothers: Delmer Ohrenberg of Kansas City, Randall (Jo) Ohrenberg of Orrick, Aaron (Julie) Stebbins of Osbourne, Lowell (Kaffie) Stebbins of Tourney, and Richard Ohrenberg; and two sisters, Patricia (Roger) Mills of Orrick and Gana Honn of Shell Knob.

She was preceded in death by her parents, brother, Stephen Ohrenberg, sister, Sheila Ohrenberg, and two siblings in infancy, Dale and Deborah Ohrenberg.

Tammy was reared and educated in Orrick, graduating from Orrick High School in 1982.  After high school, she was a housewife and homemaker, raising her three daughters.  After raising her family, Tammy went back to school to become a dental assistant in 2001.  Tammy was a well-loved and well-known fixture at King Family Dentistry in North Kansas City.  Tammy’s hobbies and likes included diamond painting, fishing, traveling with her sisters and family, and watching and feeding her hummingbirds and orioles.  Tammy was an amazing cook and loved cooking for her family and friends.  She especially loved spending time with her grandchildren.  She also enjoyed helping at the Ray County Senior Center.  Most of all, Tammy was a loving wife, mother, nana, and sissy.

The family suggests memorial contributions be made to the family’s choice.  They can be left at or mailed to Thurman Funeral Home, 507 East Main Street-P.O. Box 190, Richmond, MO 64085.
