Board selects another high school principal; third person to lead school in past three years

RICHMOND – After serving one year as the Richmond High School principal, Justin Remington is leaving to take a job working for the Grandview School District. “He resigned and took another job at another school district,” School Board President Jon Dana said Saturday. Before serving as principal, Remington served as the Richmond School District’s athletic director. In his new role, Remington will serve as Grandview’s athletic director. “It is closer for him to travel, and he will be closer to his kids,” Richmond District Superintendent Greg Darling said Monday. The Richmond School Board named Remington in 2020 to replace Principal John Parker. The board ousted Parker, alleging he failed to follow district rules. The board named Assistant Principal Brandon Quick to replace Remington as principal. Quick will be the third principal in the past three school years.
