3-month-old suffers strangulation bruises, six broken ribs, brain injury; father jailed
RICHMOND – A father is charged with three counts of child abuse that left his 10-week-old daughter with a brain injury, six broken ribs and bruises consistent with strangulation.
The allegations are based on a case filed in Ray County Circuit Court against Edwin Moisen “Moshy” Marroquin-Quevedo, 29, Kansas City, Kansas.
Quevedo allegedly has lived for the past 11 years in the United States as an illegal alien, based on the probable cause statement filed by Ray County detective Amy Sisson.
Sisson filed the probable cause report based on research she conducted in collaboration with sheriff’s Sgt. Brock Billings, a children’s division investigator and medical professionals. The work led to Prosecutor Camille Johnston filing the child abuse charges against Quevedo.
