Superintendent views accomplishments, challenges

As we move forward in the spring, I wanted to update our community on spring calendar changes, celebrate student and staff the accomplishments, and communicate plans for combating future district challenges. CALENDAR CHANGES Due to the amount of severe weather this winter, the 2020-2021 Hardin-Central calendar has been impacted greatly. As a result, school will be in session on the following dates: Wednesday, March 31; and Thursday, April 1. Our last day will be Friday, May 14, and will have a 12:41 p.m. dismissal. Although we are not yet out of danger for winter weather impacting school, I hope that these will be the final changes for this spring. ACCOMPLISHMENTS It is the district’s goal to continue to offer an outstanding public education and maintain our place as one of the top-performing small districts in the area. Our Annual Performance Report for spring 2019 was an outstanding 98.6%, and we experienced growth in our ACT score average and college placement for graduating…
