RICHMOND – Missouri is designating about 53% of weekly vaccine allocations to area hospitals, and about 23% to regional mass vaccination events in partnership with local vaccine teams and the Missouri Nation Guard. Of the remaining 24%, 8% of the state’s vaccine will go to local public health agencies, including health departments; another 8% will go to federally qualified health centers; and the remaining 8% will go to other providers requesting COVID-19 vaccine. Area hospitals receiving 53% of weekly vaccine allocations in the first week of March did not include Richmond. “To date, the Ray County Health Department has received a total of 100 doses of Moderna,” the department reported. “We continue to place weekly requests for vaccine to the state” The department has partnered with Ray County Memorial Hospital to provide COVID-19 vaccinations as vaccine becomes available to the hospital.
