RICHMOND – The investigation continues into a suspected Lafayette County homicide following a chase involving law enforcers from multiple jurisdictions, recovery of a Pleasant Hill man’s body and the arrest of a homicide suspect, Ray County Sheriff Scott Childers said late Tuesday afternoon. “We’re certain it is a homicide,” he said. Aided by a Kansas City Police Department helicopter in pinpointing the suspect’s location, Richmond Police Detective Scott Bagley arrested an Odessa man in a field near Elkhorn Elementary School in the Excelsior Springs School District, Childers said.  The office declined to identify the suspect.
