Young vendors bring creativity to Richmond Farmers Market
Brightly colored tables and eager young vendors drew shoppers to the Richmond Farmers Market, where children turned their hobbies into business ventures. From handmade jewelry and artwork to golf balls and popcorn, the budding entrepreneurs offered a mix of creativity and commerce with each sale.
The event was part of the market’s annual Youth Entrepreneur Day, which gave local kids the chance to share their creativity, hard work and business ideas with the community. Organizers noted the day was designed to teach young people what it takes to run a business, from planning and production to customer service and marketing, while connecting them directly to a supportive community.
